If you are faced with 48-hours in Cape Town, what would you do?
Here’s my list:
- Go up Table Mountain (if energetic, hike up - come down by Cable Car)
- Fresh seafood lunch at the Cape Town Waterfront
- Visit Robben Island - afternoon departures from the Waterfront (Clock Tower side)
- Freshen up at your hotel
- Dinner at Mama Africa’s (or one of the other authentic African cuisine restaurants)
- Party in Long Street’s nightclubs (city), or relax at Camps Bay’s trendy bars
- Wake up early for a full-day Cape Peninsula Tour - includes False Bay Coastline (whales spotting in season), Boulders Beach (penguins), Cape Point Nature Reserve, Hout Bay, Chapman’s Peak Drive, Atlantic coastal drive, Back to the city via Signal Hill (sunset over the Atlantic Ocean)
If you have a bit more time in Cape Town, then next on the list should be:
- Cape Winelands - word class wine-tastings and spectacular views
- Shark Cage Diving - close encounters with the Great White Shark
- Township Tour - includes visits to museums and local developments in the townships of Cape Town
What would you do if you only had 48 hours in Cape Town - leave a comment and let me know :)
