Arne Woudstra - Profile

Arne Woudstra is the editor of Africa Travel Guide.org. As a Dutch business student majoring in marketing, Arne started working in the online travel industry while doing his internship in Cape Town, South Africa in 2006. He further specialised in online marketing while working for Drive South Africa, and plans to further his career by studying at the University of Amsterdam in 2008. Although this is Arne's first time in Africa, he has travelled extensively in South America, Australia, New Zealand and Europe. He offers a fresh "tourist perspective" in the role of editor, knowing what people are looking for when planning their holidays abroad. Why the travel industry? Arne really enjoys travelling. As a technology pundit, his goal is to help other travellers by building a solid and comprehensive online travel guide for tourists visiting Africa. Whether they wish to rent a car and explore on their own steam, go on a luxury safari, or whether they are simply looking to relax on Cape Town's beautiful beaches (something Arne enjoys himself), it is his objective to make life easier for fellow travellers to Africa. Arne shares in the Africa Travel Guide vision of creating a platform where travellers they can find the latest news, interesting articles and expert advice from leaders within the Africa travel industry. In his spare time... Arne likes to work out, swim, skydive (one jump so far, but more to come), snowboard, travel in Africa and elsewhere, film and watch movies, listen to music and spend time with friends and family. If you were one of Africa’s interesting animals... "I would definetly be a cheetah. It is the fastest animal on land, and are very social animals. I could outrun anyone on the savannah and enjoy my meal as the sun sets." Catch phrase: If at first you don't succeed, try again. Visit Arne Woudstra’s personal weblog at Arne’s Blog.
