Tania Wheeler is the General Manager of Overlanding Africa.com. and has worked in the travel industry since 2000.

Having worked as a crew member on overland trucks for 5 years in both the Middle East and Africa, Tania has gained volumes of experience travelling along the popular (and some un-popular) overland routes - at the same time discovering a passion for people and places off ‘the beaten track’.

Originally from New Zealand, Tania travelled widely before falling in love with Africa and ’setting up shop’ in Cape Town.

What inspires Tania?

Anything and everything…..

People with drive and passion for something regardless of what that something is. People that see a challenge or obstacle, and jump in with both feet.

Travelling.

Tania’s personal goal is to never stop learning.

In her spare time

Tania likes to head to the bush or the beach with a bunch of friends and camp under the stars, scuba dive or curl up on the couch with a good book and a glass of wine.

If you were one of Africa’s interesting animals…

I’d be a Meerkat. They look cute and cuddly but will bite if annoyed.
