The sun setting with thunder and rain in the background, as you observe the different wildlife from the water. Don’t miss out on the boat cruise when you’re overlanding the Chobe National Park!

Because it is just so peaceful and the animals behave much more natural when you observe them from the water. They seem very relaxed and gives you the opportunity to take beautiful pictures.

Pictures from a herd of elephants and their young, hippo’s from only 5 meters away gawing, an elephant storming out of the bush and a whole migration of animals fleeing for the rain.

It was a magical moment as we were floating on the water, and everyone enjoyed this evening of wildlife watching. The boat cruise also gives you plenty of time to spot the different animals whilst enjoying a drink. So remember to bring your cool drinks on board!

The boat cruise in Chobe National Park is held on a vessel similar to a barge. This gives you plenty of space to move around and get close to animals in the water. Although you cannot stick out your feet, or they will be bitten of by a crocodile!

After a lovely evening we headed back to the campsite to sit by the campfire and enjoy our last meal in Botswana. Because the next day we continued the overlanding trip to: Victoria Falls.
