The Cape Town International Comedy Festival bursting out of the Baxter Theatre, Artscape Theatre and the Bang Bang Club is now in its final week of sidesplitting shows.

For a hilarious mix of International stand-up comedians, go to the primary comedy show, Main Arena. If that is too tame for you, try the more risqué Danger Zone performances. The riotous Main Arena and Danger Zone, as well as the Best of Fest showcase performances, are being held at Cape Town’s Baxter Theatre Centre.

One of Cape Town’s premier nightclubs, The Bang Bang Club, is hosting The Late Show, for some even more adventurous thigh-slapping.

At the Labia movie theatre you can pack-up laughing at Funny Shorts, 100 minutes of the world’s funniest short films, or chortle at the more lewd Filthy Shorts. An international set of comedians have also been cracking Capetonians up on the streets. At the Artscape Theatre local Afrikaans comedians are getting audiences guffawing.

Definitely worth it, for a little chuckle or to really get howling, make it to the Comedy Festival an evening this week.
