The longest drive of the journey, as we left Rundu in Namibia and headed to Maun in the heart of the Okavango Delta. This is what overlanding Africa is all about.

With a long drive ahead we had to wake up before the crack of dawn and head to the Botswanian border. All went well and we continued our overlanding trip through Africa in yet another country.

Botswana feels quite different to Namibia. It is much more dense forest, and a lot more humid. The wildlife is a lot more abundant as well, and you may find an elephant crossing the road, like us, or a warthog walking in town.

Arriving in Maun we had to do some quick shopping, as we had to change our money into Pula, the local currency. Stocking up on some Botswana beer and groceries, we then headed for our campsite. Where we spend the night trying out all the different local shots, and meeting other people overlanding Africa.

After a short night we were picked up by a truck to go on our 3 day trip in the Okavango Delta.
