The one adventure activity I had to do on this overland trip was quadbiking in the dunes of Namibia. And what better place to do this than the sand dunes of Namibia!
Especially around Swakopmund, the dunes are excellent for quadbiking. With steep hills and great tracks, quadbiking is one of the most popular adventure activities in town.
Driving a quadbike is not only fairly easy, it is also extremely fun. Fast, and agile you can speed through the dunes, do rollercoaster and in the meantime even enjoy the beautiful surroundings.
If you have a motorcycle license or experience in driving a motorbike you can even take a manual. And these go even faster. I had to stick to an automatic, but this was already quite fast for me, so good fun to be had.
The only bad thing is that sand will be found even 3 days after quadbiking. But not as bad as sandboarding where it will take 5 days before you’re sand-free. But all is good fun, when you can do it together with your overlanding group! So join an overland tour yourself, if you want to do all this and more!
