The overland trip from Windhoek to Vic Falls begins with one night sleeping in Windhoek. Since you have to catch the bus early, early in the morning.

I arrived in Windhoek Airport the day before the Intercape Bus would leave for Swakopmund. This gave me one day to see something of this interesting capitol, of this even more interesting country.

As I drove to the hostel that I would be sleeping for the night, it struck me that Windhoek still looks like a German colony in Africa. Very orderly and abundance of green areas in the city.

I wandered around for a bit, but had to catch some sleep to catch the Intercape bus at 6 in the morning the next day. It is a nice city, but nothing to lose sleep over.
