It was a great experience to see wildlife and the surrounding nature by taking a scenic flight over the Okavango Delta in Botswana.

Going on a game walk and living in the Okavango Delta for 3 days is very thrilling and you get to spend a lot of time in nature and enjoy its beauty.

But it was a whole different thing to go on a scenic flight and get the overall perspective of the area. With a small Piper airplane we took of in somewhat bad weather, but the views were still amazing.

In pure joy and excitement we all shouted when we saw wildlife. Running giraffes, grazing hippos and a herd of zebra’s. They were all out in the open savannah.

Not only the wildlife is amazing in the Delta, but also the different rivers, bushes and the thicker forests are a sight to behold. The scenic flight over the Okavango Delta is an excellent way to see the area in all its beauty.

The next day we had to leave again early in the morning, as we headed to another national park in Botswana. Our overland trip headed for the Chobe National Park in Botswana.
