When travelling in Zimbabwe: Do not wear or even carry any camouflage-patterned clothing.
Camouflage-patterned clothing is not permitted in Zimbabwe, says the Zimbabwe Consulate in Johannesburg. According to Ndaipaneyi Mukwena from the Johannesburg office of Zimbabwe Tourism the ruling is not directly on camouflage clothing, but it applies to any clothing that can be construed as mimicking military-wear.
We urge you not to wear or even carry military-inspired clothing while travelling in Zimbabwe. It is for your own good.
