Hey Dawn,

Tough one - if you don't count the length of the queue or the speed of the immigration official at the desk, it has never taken me longer than approx 3 minutes so get through. I hope that same applies to you! :)

Good luck!

Hi,
I am going on an organinsed bus tour through south africa, anmibia botswana and zambia. I will be arriving in Zambia (from Botswana by ferry) with the tour -will I be able to obtain a visa at the boarder with a UK passport- and if so, will they need payment in $'s or £'s.
Thanks

Hey Liz,

Depends on your nationality but I assume from your email address that you may be traveling on a UK passport? If so, you can definitely get a tourism visa on arrival (assuming all other documentation is in order, ie: passport). I have made some phone calls for you and am assured that nothing has changed regarding Zambian visas in the last few days.

Hope that helps! :)

We are getting confused advice about our trip next week to Zambia regarding a visa. We were assured that you can apply on arrival, but the embassy web site says you need to apply in advance, which if true is a bit of a problem! Can you advise?

Hello Tania,

I have a friend with a Canadian passport coming for 2 day visit to Zambia from Namibia. What & how much does he need to get a visa at the border? Thank you..

Hey Amy,

This is the first time I have ever heard that a bank statement is required! You certainly don't need it when getting your visa at the border so I can only assume you are applying in advance through an embassy?

To be on the safe side if you have to have a statement, I would print one off yourself but then take it to the bank to be stamped as official and that should be sufficient.

Good luck!

Hello Tania

One of the Zambian visa requirements is to have a current org. bank statement, my bank's current account is online and they do not send me a statement so I have to print it out myself, will the Zambian authorities/ embassy accept my own statement printouts? If not what other ways are there to replace the bank statement? Will wage slips suffice?
